During this workshop we’ll cover all the fundamentals you need to know to be an effective Kotlin developer. Learning how Kotlin works on the JVM, and how it works with Java in a practical way by completing exercises verified by JUnit. We’ll learn Kotlin best practices, and how to gain more confidence in your code by leveraging Kotlin’s unique language features.

• Kotlin’s type system
• Extension functions, lambdas and collections API
• Constructing Domain Specific Languages
• Coroutines

At the end of this workshop you’ll be ready to start using Kotlin in your existing Java project, or to start your new projects with Kotlin.
